"Me encanta" Radios
The U.S. Hispanic launch of McDonald’s “i’m lovin' it” required writing radio scripts as songs (against prerecorded music beds in a variety of genres).
But music beds were arranged and timed to English copy only. (Spanish copy typically features more words and syllables per sentence.) I threaded the needle with abbreviated copy in Spanish that would fall within the Anglo music tempo shifts. And the spots still had to play like halfway decent songs…
